Torre Loreta, a new residential development in Quintana Roo, Mexico, used Holcim's ECOPact low-carbon concrete for about 80% of its structural concrete volume. The developer reports that 3,480 cubic meters of ECOPact cut construction emissions by at least 30%, saving 441,600 kg of CO2 compared with a conventional CEM I mix. The project includes the Torre Olivia and Residencial Lausana buildings and is designed to meet BREEAM and LEED certification criteria. The project is one of the first high-rise residential developments in the Mexican Caribbean built with low-carbon concrete at scale. It shows how luxury vertical housing can reduce embodied carbon while still meeting tropical climate and structural requirements. For buyers and developers tracking green building standards, Torre Loreta is a useful regional example of concrete selection driving measurable emissions reductions.
