Tokio Marine GX builds nine partner ecosystem, hits $347M decarbonization premiums a year early
insurancebusinessmag.comTokio Marine GX, launched in September 2025 as a green transition insurance platform, has expanded to a nine partner ecosystem covering nuclear fusion, carbon credit insurance, sustainable aquaculture, and private credit. The group reported decarbonization-related premiums of ¥55.5 billion ($347 million) in FY2025, beating its FY2026 target a year ahead. A new FY2030 target of ¥100 billion ($625 million) is now in place. The ecosystem addresses a protection gap in green transition coverage, where mainstream insurance products fall short for co-location models, hydrogen, carbon capture, and larger renewable projects. By routing placements through a single platform, TMGX aims to simplify access to specialist coverage that previously sat with fragmented MGAs. With $500 million capacity per risk and a dedicated claims team, the model is designed to scale with the energy transition.
