Thyssenkrupp inaugurates Catch4Climate pure oxyfuel plant for low-carbon cement production

Thyssenkrupp has officially inaugurated its Catch4Climate pure oxyfuel plant, a facility designed to capture CO2 emissions from cement production. The technology uses pure oxygen instead of air in the combustion process, producing a concentrated CO2 stream that can be captured more easily. This is a significant step for decarbonizing cement, an industry responsible for roughly 8% of global CO2 emissions. The plant represents a real world test of oxyfuel technology at industrial scale.
