Thailand is partnering with UNIDO and the Canadian government to reduce emissions in its cement industry. The initiative includes the deployment of a mobile carbon capture unit to test CCUS technology within the Saraburi Sandbox industrial cluster. Beyond carbon capture, the program focuses on developing low-carbon alternatives like limestone calcined clay cement (LC3). The project is backed by 8 million Canadian dollars to establish technical standards and sustainable finance mechanisms for the sector.
