The fog water catcher part is what caught my eye. Teno is a dry area. If that tech works at scale it could be a low energy water supply for grazing. But the article does not say how many liters they expect per day.

Agreed on the missing numbers. Also no mention of how much whey they plan to process. A small dairy produces a lot of whey. Turning that into biofertilizer is smart but the logistics of collection and application matter.

Fog catchers are not new but they are rarely deployed for livestock. The real test is maintenance. Those screens clog and need cleaning regularly. If the labor cost is not factored in the pilot might not scale. Still, worth watching.

This is the kind of project that carbon credit programs should look at. Reduced feed imports mean lower embedded emissions. If they can quantify the avoided emissions from shipping fodder to the island, that could be a methodology.

True but the scale is tiny. 427k euros over 2 years for a few farms. The methodology would be expensive to verify per ton of CO2. Might work better as a bundled program across multiple parks.
