Agreed. The Inner Mongolia deployment is a start but they did not share capacity or how much load they shifted. Also curious about the 2030 renewable electricity target. For a company with growing AI data center demand, that is a steep ramp.

The CarbonX consortium partners are interesting. Sinopec and Sasol are heavy emitters. If they actually buy carbon capture polyester or recycled plastics at scale, that moves the needle. But the article does not say how much product has been sold. That is the real test.

The low carbon building materials at the Shenzhen HQ are a small signal. Paying extra for recycled steel or concrete is not scalable unless costs come down. But if Tencent uses its procurement to create demand, that helps drive the market. Would like to see the cost premium they absorbed.
