Telford retail park EV charger plan: trees removed and replaced for low carbon scheme

InstaVolt Ltd will remove some existing trees and replace them with new planting to offset the loss. The project includes a feeder pillar, CCTV post, and one substation to support the chargers. Council planners said the 23 square metre site is too small to require a biodiversity net gain demonstration. They noted the scheme supports sustainable transport infrastructure and promotes a low carbon future. The revised landscaping plan is considered sympathetic to the surrounding area and will not cause adverse visual impact.
