Interesting to see a textile manufacturer put real money into solar and biomass. The 10-11 year payback on solar with only 4-4.5 hours of effective sunlight is a tough sell but they went ahead anyway. Biomass switch makes more sense financially with 25-30% fuel cost reduction.

The biomass certification piece is key. They claim SLSI certified and traceable, excluding rubber wood and wild wood. If that holds, it avoids the usual biomass sourcing controversies. Still would like to see the full lifecycle carbon accounting for the biomass supply chain.
