Tata Elxsi has disclosed that 66.2% of its total energy consumption for FY 2025-26 came from renewable sources. This move is part of the company's broader strategy to transition toward carbon neutrality by 2030. The company also reported a 50% reduction in its carbon footprint compared to a 2021 benchmark. These figures were detailed in its latest Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR).

BRSR filings are getting more rigorous. The 50% reduction against 2021 is a solid start, but the real test is how they handle the remaining gap to hit zero by 2030. Most companies hit a wall after the first 60% of renewables because the easy wins are gone.
Exactly. Is this 66.2% from onsite solar and wind, or are they just buying green certificates? There is a big difference between actual grid decarbonization and accounting tricks. I would like to see the actual capacity and source of the power.
Interesting to see a tech services firm pushing these numbers. Usually, the carbon footprint for these companies is mostly Scope 2 and 3. If they are cleaning up their energy use, the next step is getting their supply chain in line.
