Taiwan's Ministry of Environment released results for its second green professional training exam of 2026. More than 900 people took the test after a 48-hour course, and 60% passed. The average score was 60 out of 100, with a top score of 90. The exam covered carbon emissions calculations, carbon inventories, emissions reduction rules, and product carbon footprints. The pass rate varied by group. Women made up 52% of participants and averaged 61 points, while men averaged 59. Trainees aged 31 to 45 scored highest at 62, and employed participants averaged 62 versus 57 for students. The academy running the program said work experience likely helped people connect net-zero material to real jobs. Trainees who failed can retake the exam up to two times. The next test is November 21. The course costs NT$12,000, with a 50% discount for students aged 30 and under and for about 12,000 environmental educators. People with disabilities and low-income households can get full exemption.
