Taiwan and Canada Deepen Cooperation on Geothermal and Hydrogen Energy Technologies
fuelcellsworks.comTaiwan's Energy Administration led a delegation to Canada in June 2026 for the Taiwan-Canada Energy Working Group meeting. The group focused on advancing geothermal energy and hydrogen technologies, including blue hydrogen. Delegates visited Calgary for an industry roundtable and met with the Alberta Energy Regulator to discuss regulatory frameworks. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral ties and accelerate Taiwan's low-carbon energy transition. By sharing expertise on geothermal development and clean hydrogen, both countries hope to build stronger supply chains and move closer to their 2050 net-zero goals. The working group will continue to support policy exchanges and technology deployment.
