Sweep and HowGood partner to improve Scope 3 emissions reporting for food companies
bakingbusiness.comSweep, a sustainability intelligence platform, has partnered with HowGood, a product carbon footprint automation company, to help food and agriculture companies manage Scope 3 emissions reporting. The integration gives companies access to HowGood's database of over 12 million product carbon footprints directly inside Sweep's platform. That means ingredient-level and product-level emissions data can be used for carbon accounting, supplier engagement, and regulatory reporting without manual data transfers. Scope 3 emissions often make up the majority of a food company's total greenhouse gas footprint, but they are notoriously hard to measure because they span the entire value chain. This partnership aims to replace generic industry averages with more granular data based on actual sourcing and production practices. Companies like Ahold Delhaize, Danone, and Ferrero already use HowGood for this kind of reporting. Sweep works with food producers including Bonduelle, Lactalis, and Neuhaus.
