A Swedish investor has proposed building a luxury five-star eco-resort with net-zero carbon emissions in Quang Ngai Province, central Vietnam. The resort would be built on a 4.5-hectare site in Kon Plong Commune and aims to use circular energy systems, renewable energy, and green technologies to achieve net-zero status. The project is expected to create around 300 jobs and serve as a pilot model for green development and the circular economy in the region. Local authorities have expressed support for the proposal, with the vice-chairman of the Quang Ngai People's Committee promising to facilitate site surveys and administrative procedures. If realized, the resort would be among the few net-zero tourism projects in central Vietnam, potentially boosting the area's appeal for high-quality, environmentally friendly investment. The investor plans to operate the resort according to international standards, focusing on premium wellness retreats that leverage the area's natural landscapes and distinctive climate.
