A Swedish company, Peak Education Limited, has proposed a $60 million carbon-neutral eco-resort and wellness retreat in Quang Ngai province, central Vietnam. The 4.5-hectare project would run entirely on renewable energy, including a 1 MW solar farm, and aim for net-zero emissions. It would also include a wellness center, a green energy R&D facility, and a hospitality training academy. The local government has backed the proposal, saying it aligns with Vietnam's green growth and carbon reduction policies. The resort targets high-end tourism while creating jobs and raising incomes in the Kon Plong area. If approved, it could serve as a test case for how tourism projects integrate renewable energy and circular economy models in practice.
