Former chairman Ian Cleminson has acquired the assets of Surface Transforms for £1.4 million following the company's collapse into administration. The Knowsley-based business specializes in carbon fibre reinforced ceramic brake discs for high-performance car brands like Porsche and Ferrari. The company previously struggled after losing a major contract with General Motors, which accounted for the vast majority of its revenue. The new entity, CCST Limited, plans to restart production at the existing Liverpool site and hire local skilled workers.
