Sunwoda Digital Battery Passport Finalist at 2026 edie Energy & Tech Awards
thailand-business-news.comSunwoda's Digital Battery Passport Solution was a finalist in the Supply Chain & Scope 3 Decarbonisation Project of the Year category at the 2026 edie Energy & Tech Awards in London. The solution consolidates battery lifecycle data, from raw material sourcing to recycling, into one digital record to support carbon footprint management and sustainability disclosures. The platform launched in October 2025 after pilots with partners and includes six modules covering supply chain management, traceability, carbon footprint, due diligence, passport management and operations. It tracks 78 indicators and uses permission-based data access. Sunwoda ran five pilots in 2025 and engaged 28 key suppliers in carbon management. The company is working with TÜV Rheinland and Siemens China on battery passport applications. The work comes ahead of the EU Battery Regulation, which will require digital passports for EV batteries, light transport batteries and industrial batteries above 2 kWh placed on the EU market from 18 February 2027. Sunwoda plans to release phase two of its platform in mid-December 2026. The award nomination highlights the growing focus on supply chain data as a tool for emissions reduction.
