Sunwoda's Digital Battery Passport Solution was a finalist in the Supply Chain & Scope 3 Decarbonisation Project of the Year category at the 2026 edie Energy & Tech Awards in London. The solution brings together battery data from raw material sourcing, manufacturing, use and recycling into one digital record. That gives partners a shared view of a battery's product identity, carbon footprint and compliance information, which supports hotspot analysis and sustainability reporting. The platform launched in October 2025 after pilots in 2024 and now covers supply chain management, traceability mapping, product carbon footprint, due diligence, passport management and operations. Sunwoda completed five pilots in 2025 and brought 28 key suppliers into carbon management work. It is also working with TUV Rheinland and Siemens China on battery passport development. The EU Battery Regulation requires digital passports for EV, light transport and industrial batteries above 2 kWh starting February 18, 2027. Sunwoda plans to release phase two of its platform in mid-December 2026, ahead of that deadline.
