Sunwoda Battery Passport Finalist at 2026 edie Energy & Tech Awards: What It Means for EU Battery Compliance
themalaysianreserve.comSunwoda's Digital Battery Passport Solution was a finalist in the Supply Chain and Scope 3 Decarbonisation Project of the Year category at the 2026 edie Energy and Tech Awards. The system links data from raw material sourcing, manufacturing, use, and recycling into one digital record, which helps companies map product carbon footprints, spot emissions hotspots, and prepare sustainability disclosures. The platform launched in October 2025 after pilots in 2024, with six modules covering supply chain management, traceability, carbon footprint, due diligence, passport management, and operations. Sunwoda says it completed five pilots in 2025 and engaged 28 key suppliers in carbon management. The work is timed ahead of the EU Battery Regulation, which requires digital passports for EV batteries, light transport batteries, and industrial batteries above 2 kWh placed on the EU market from February 2027.
