The scale is interesting. 553k tons of methanol per year is not small. But if marine fuel demand is not there yet, the economics fall apart. Timing is everything in this space.

Wood fiber to methanol is energy intensive. I wonder what the net carbon benefit really is after harvesting, transport, and processing. These numbers always look cleaner in the press release.
