SUNeVision, Hong Kong's largest data centre provider, received the Sustainable Organisation Bronze Award at the UNSDG Achievement Awards 2026. It is the only data centre company recognised. The award reflects its work on energy efficiency and renewable energy procurement, including solar PV and RECs. The company signed a six-year deal with CLP Power for 100% site-specific RECs from Hong Kong's first privately funded landfill solar farm, which generates 1.2 million kWh annually and cuts 530 tonnes of CO2 per year. It also uses iRECs to offset general building electricity. SUNeVision has HK$9 billion in sustainability-linked loans tied to PUE and COP improvements. As AI drives data centre demand, SUNeVision is adding liquid-cooling capacity and smarter facilities. The award marks its fourth consecutive year of UNSDG recognition, supporting Hong Kong's carbon neutrality goal by 2050.
