SUNeVision Wins UNSDGAA 2026 Bronze Award for Sustainable Data Centre Operations in Hong Kong
themalaysianreserve.comSUNeVision, Hong Kong's largest data centre provider and the technology arm of Sun Hung Kai Properties, received the Sustainable Organisation Bronze Award at the UNSDG Achievement Awards Hong Kong 2026. It is the fourth straight year the company has been recognised. The award highlights efforts to cut energy use across its MEGA Campus, including AI-ready liquid cooling and rooftop solar PV systems. The company has also signed a six-year agreement with CLP Power for site-specific Renewable Energy Certificates from Hong Kong's first privately funded landfill solar farm. That farm generates about 1.2 million kWh of green power annually, equal to roughly 530 tonnes of avoided carbon emissions per year. SUNeVision separately buys International RECs to offset electricity use in its own general buildings. On the finance side, SUNeVision has secured HK$9 billion in sustainability-linked loans, more than 65% of its total banking facilities. Those loans are tied to energy efficiency metrics such as power usage effectiveness and coefficient of performance. The company says the measures support Hong Kong's target of carbon neutrality by 2050.
