State Grid Zhejiang's AI Tool Cuts Carbon Footprints and Boosts Grid Reliability for Tech Firms
streetinsider.comState Grid Zhejiang Electric Power showcased its AI-powered solution at the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit. The system, built around an AI super-agent called Guangqing, offers two services: Powertrace for real-time grid monitoring and Carbonseek for tracking carbon emissions. It has already served 56 tech startups in Hangzhou, helping some manufacturers cut product carbon footprints by 6.6% while maintaining power reliability above 99.999%. The team plans to expand coverage to at least 10% of Hangzhou's tech startups by year-end and reach 30,000 SMEs across China within a year. They also aim to release an open-source toolkit for global use. The project won recognition as one of five global finalists in the UN's SDG Innovation Accelerator program.
