The results come from a combination of residential solar installations, energy efficiency upgrades, and preferential loans for EDGE-certified green developments. With local electricity costs rising by 64% since 2022, the bank has disbursed R4.7 billion in green-aligned financing. These initiatives focus on reducing grid reliance through solar energy and the conversion of electric geysers to solar power, cutting monthly utility bills by up to 40%.
