ST Telemedia Global Data Centres hits 2028 carbon intensity target three years early with 83.2% renewables

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) published its 2025 ESG report, showing it surpassed its 2028 carbon intensity reduction target three years ahead of schedule. The company cut carbon intensity by 70.5% from its 2021 baseline and sourced 83.2% of electricity from renewables. It also improved water usage effectiveness by 41.2% and achieved an average power usage effectiveness of 1.44, a 13% improvement from 2020. The Singapore-based data centre provider says it is integrating sustainability into capital allocation, site selection, design, and operations to handle rising demand from AI workloads. The company aims for carbon-neutral operations by 2030. 48% of its data centres now hold green building certifications.
