South Korea is updating high-pressure gas safety regulations to speed up the import of EUV lithography equipment for semiconductor giants like Samsung and SK hynix. The move reduces inspection times from 34 days to nine days by aligning local rules with global safety standards. Beyond chipmaking, the government is introducing new inspection standards for eco-friendly liquefied carbon dioxide cleaning systems. These systems replace water and detergents with CO2, marking a shift toward more sustainable industrial cleaning processes in the region.
