South Korea's atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have hit a record high of 432.7 ppm, exceeding the global average. Data from the Korea Meteorological Administration shows a steep increase in greenhouse gases, including nitrous oxide and sulfur hexafluoride, which have also reached new peaks. While carbon dioxide and other gases rise, the report notes a decline in chlorofluorocarbons due to international regulations. Methane levels also hit a record high, though the pace of growth has slowed compared to previous decades.
