Sourcing Connections and carbmee partner to improve carbon data for supply chain decarbonization in the GCC
consultancy-me.comSourcing Connections, a procurement advisory firm based in the Gulf region, has partnered with carbmee to integrate its Environmental Intelligence System into sustainable procurement services. The deal aims to help chief procurement officers build audit grade carbon data for supply chain decarbonization and net zero planning. The partnership targets companies in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar that face new climate reporting rules and emissions reduction targets. Carbmee's platform focuses on transaction level data rather than estimates, which matters as GCC regulators move from voluntary goals to mandatory reporting. The UAE now requires companies to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions under Federal Decree Law No. 11 of 2024. Saudi Arabia is working toward net zero by 2060 under the Saudi Green Initiative. Qatar aims for a 25 percent cut in emissions by 2030. Sourcing Connections will implement the platform for public and private sector clients, helping them set baselines and build supplier engagement programs. The partnership shows how carbon accounting tools are becoming a standard part of procurement advisory work in the region.
