Sosteneo, part of Generali Investments, has secured more than $175 million in new commitments and co-investment capital at the first external close of its second clean energy infrastructure fund. That brings total commitments for Fund II above $525 million, and the wider platform past $1.28 billion. The fund targets construction-ready European infrastructure: renewable energy integration, clean power supply, and industrial decarbonisation. Fund I is also maturing. About three quarters of its 39 projects are operational after three years, and it has started distributing income and signed its first partial asset sale. For institutional investors, the close is another sign that private capital is moving into European grid modernisation and clean power assets, though construction execution and market conditions still decide returns.
