Skyrenu Technologies has delivered its first batch of direct air captured CO2 to Secant Fuel, a synthetic fuels and low-carbon chemicals producer. Both companies are based in Sherbrooke, Canada and grew out of research at Universite de Sherbrooke. The delivery follows a technology showcase where Skyrenu's modular DAC system captured CO2 from low-concentration air or dilute industrial streams, and Secant Fuel converted it into usable products. Skyrenu already operates a unit at the Deep Sky Alpha facility in Innisfail, Alberta and is working on a larger system designed to capture up to 125 tonnes of CO2 per year. The project received support from Sherbrooke Innovante's Vitrine technologique program. The collaboration highlights the growing focus on using captured CO2 as a feedstock rather than only storing it.
