Skyline Industrial REIT fully leases zero-carbon industrial park in Halifax, a CaGBC-certified 400,000 sq ft development
manilatimes.netSkyline Industrial REIT has fully leased the Bayers Lake Industrial Centre in Halifax, a 400,000 square foot zero-carbon design industrial park certified by the Canada Green Building Council. The property is one of the largest industrial parks in Atlantic Canada and includes the single largest industrial speculative lease on record in Halifax, accounting for most industrial space leased in the region year-to-date in 2026. The two-building park is located near major highways, rail routes, and two Atlantic Canada ports. It is fully occupied by three tenants: ID Logistics, a Canadian warehouse and logistics group, and F3 Group Inc. Skyline developed the project with Lindsay Construction and Secure Capital, holding a majority interest through a joint venture. The full lease-up signals growing demand for low-carbon industrial space in Halifax after a quiet 2025. It shows that zero-carbon design can attract major logistics tenants, supporting grid decarbonization and sustainable building practices in Canada.
