Sinopec has started operations on a high-end large-tow carbon fiber production line in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. The initial phase includes two lines with a single-line capacity exceeding 3,000 tons, aiming for a total capacity of 30,000 tons by 2027. Large-tow carbon fiber is designed for industrial scale, offering lower production costs and higher output than small-tow alternatives. The material is essential for reducing weight and increasing efficiency in electric vehicles, aerospace components, and high-end industrial equipment.
