The Action for a Resilient Climate (ARC) coalition has launched in Singapore to aggregate corporate demand for high-integrity carbon credits. By pooling buyers like Tencent and Mitsubishi, the group aims to procure 10 million tonnes of credits by 2030 and provide early-stage financing for decarbonization and nature restoration projects across Asia. To address the decline in voluntary carbon market credibility, ARC is implementing a blended finance facility and aligning its standards with the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM). The initiative positions Singapore as a central hub for carbon services and climate finance in the region.
