Singapore is allowing firms to carry over unused carbon offset quotas from 2025 to 2026. This move comes as a response to a limited supply of high quality carbon credits and evolving international market rules. Eligible firms can use these offsets to reduce up to 5 percent of their annual carbon tax bill. The government is currently working with international partners to expand the pipeline of credits from projects in countries like Bhutan, Ghana, and Peru.
