The use of low carbon steel is a nice touch for the supply chain. My question is about the maintenance. Does moving panels into grazing mode frequently increase wear and tear on the tracker motors or affect the capacity factor?
Maintenance is the big unknown. Cattle are hard on equipment. I wonder how they handled the fencing and the actual physical protection of the wiring from the animals. If the cows break a tracker, the repair cost eats the land efficiency gains.
The real win here is the PPA with Middle Tennessee Electric. Bundling the environmental attributes with the power is the standard move, but the agrivoltaic angle helps with local zoning and land use permits, which are usually the biggest hurdles.
