Shandong's Department of Industry and Information Technology is now accepting applications for 2026 typical scenarios and cases of green energy use in the industrial sector. The notice covers steel, chemicals, building materials, batteries, PV, electronics, computing facilities, and more, with six focus areas that include industrial green microgrids, end-use electrification, green electricity and computing power coordination, digital energy and carbon management platforms, AI for green energy equipment, and CCUS. Hydrogen is explicitly included as a key component of industrial green microgrids, alongside PV, wind, storage, heat pumps, and waste heat recovery. Applications must be submitted through municipal industry bureaus by September 30.
