Odisha has decent wind and solar but the grid there is still coal heavy. If ACME is using grid power for electrolysis the lifecycle emissions could be higher than advertised. Would need to see the PPA structure.

For industrial users like Sumitomo Chemical and UBE, ammonia as feedstock is hard to replace. So the CfD makes sense to kickstart supply. But the cost per ton of CO2 avoided here might be high compared to other abatement options.
