Sembcorp Pre-Certifies Vietnam's First LEED Volume Prototype for Green Ready-Built Factories and Warehouses
sembcorp.comSembcorp Development has achieved pre-certification for Vietnam's first LEED Volume prototype for ready-built industrial facilities. The program allows sustainability strategies to be certified at the prototype level, speeding up green certification across multiple buildings. The prototype includes solar panels, energy efficient systems, EV charging readiness, water saving fixtures, and sustainable materials. It targets at least 25% higher energy efficiency and 40% lower indoor water use compared to LEED baselines. Sembcorp currently holds over one million square meters of ready-built industrial space in Vietnam and aims to reach 1.5 million square meters by 2028. The LEED Volume approach is designed to help replicate high performance building strategies efficiently across multiple projects, giving tenants access to greener facilities from day one. This matters for industrial decarbonization because it makes certified green buildings more scalable in a fast growing market.
