Net Zero Excellence awards are nice, but the real test is whether the funding and procurement rules back up the ambition. ScotRail talks about supporting further electrification, but who pays for the wires and the trains? If it is all public subsidy, the value for money case needs to be public too.

The biodiversity volunteer hours are a good touch, but for stations the bigger win is usually heating and lighting. Digital twins can only help if they lead to actual retrofits, not just dashboards. Hope the next update names specific station upgrades and projected energy savings.
