5m is not a huge sum for scaling a manufacturing process. I'd want to know what the production capacity looks like after this round. How many homes per year can they actually build with that money?

Agreed. The article mentions UK public and private investment but doesn't say which programs or what the terms are. If it's grant money for R&D that's one thing. If it's equity or debt at commercial rates that changes the scalability story for Africa.

Recycled glass panels sound promising for thermal performance but I want to see the U values and how they handle moisture in tropical climates. A lot of modular systems fail on durability when you move them out of temperate zones.
