New research from the CBI shows that net zero industries support over 105,000 jobs in Scotland, contributing £10.2bn to the national economy. This growth is driven by wind farms, hydropower, and the installation of heat pumps and solar panels, with the sector now representing nearly 5% of Scotland's total economic output. Investment pipelines for clean energy in Scotland are valued at £211bn, accounting for over a third of the UK total. Key growth hubs include Aberdeen for offshore wind and carbon capture, and East Lothian for electricity transmission infrastructure.
