Schneider Electric Opens Net-Zero Smart Factory in Hungary
hungarytoday.huSchneider Electric has launched its largest European manufacturing plant in Dunavecse, Hungary. The facility is designed for net-zero carbon emissions, utilizing 5,000 square meters of rooftop solar panels and advanced energy management systems to minimize its environmental footprint. A key focus of the plant is the production of RM AirSeT switchgear, which removes SF6 gas from medium-voltage networks. This shift addresses strict European regulations and reduces the reliance on one of the most potent greenhouse gases used in power distribution.
