Schneider Electric and Greenly Expand SME Decarbonisation Program with Carbon Accounting and Advisory
emeoutlookmag.comSchneider Electric has broadened its Decarbonization Champion Program in partnership with carbon accounting platform Greenly. The expanded program gives SME partners across the electrical value chain access to software for tracking Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, plus consultancy from SE Advisory Services, remote audits, and decarbonisation roadmaps. The goal is to help smaller contractors, panel builders, and system integrators cut emissions while also identifying operational savings, with Schneider estimating over USD 34,000 in annual value per participating partner. Early pilots in the Pacific region have already surfaced concrete financial benefits. One contractor identified more than USD 28,500 in potential annual savings, while a Queensland-based manufacturer found over USD 178,000 through improvements like air system efficiency, load shifting, and equipment optimisation. The program also addresses growing pressure on SMEs to report emissions, driven by regulations like the EU's CSRD and Australia's CRFD, which larger customers are increasingly passing down their supply chains.
