Scarborough Hospital £8.7m Green Energy Retrofit: Heat Pumps and Solar
thisisthecoast.co.ukScarborough Hospital is implementing an 8.7 million pound energy upgrade to reduce its carbon footprint by 1,200 tonnes per year. The project replaces old steam boilers with high efficiency low temperature hot water systems and installs a 1MW heat pump. As part of the decarbonization effort, the site will add 1,085 solar panels funded by Great British Energy. The project is supported by the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme to improve energy resilience and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
