SC Asset gets $59.8M sustainability-linked loan from UOB Thailand for housing projects
app.dealroom.coSC Asset, a Thai property developer, has secured a sustainability-linked loan of about $59.8 million from United Overseas Bank (Thai). The money will fund five detached-housing projects and land purchases. Loan terms are tied to SC Asset's sustainability performance, including its SCero Mission target to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 100,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent by 2030. The company says it has already reduced cumulative emissions by 39,700 tonnes as of 2025. UOB says the loan supports Thailand's low-carbon transition. SC Asset also points to its AAA SET ESG Ratings for 2025 from the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The deal is an example of sustainability-linked financing moving into Thai real estate, where the real test is whether emissions targets and low-carbon housing pilots keep pace with expansion.
