gdnonline.comSaudi Arabia's tracked renewable energy pipeline now stands at 63.8 gigawatts across 53 projects, according to the Saudi Arabia Renewables Tracker from KAPSARC. The country's operating renewable capacity has jumped over 63-fold since 2020, reaching 19.3 GW by 2026. Solar makes up 81% of the tracked capacity, with wind at 19%, and about 30% of capacity is already installed, 37% under development, and 32% tendered. The pipeline supports the kingdom's Vision 2030 goals and its target of 100-130 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, along with net-zero emissions by 2060. The tracker lists eight projects expected to commission in 2026, totaling 7.7 GW, including Henakiyah 2 solar and Rabigh 2 solar. Projects are spread across major regions like Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Province, signaling broad geographic coverage for the buildout.
