SANY introduced the SRT100S hybrid mining truck and several autonomous electric models at the 2026 Global Mining Summit. These machines use hybrid direct-drive systems and energy management software to cut energy costs by up to 20 percent and reduce fuel consumption in heavy-duty open-pit mining. Beyond hardware, the company is deploying a Generation-Grid-Load-Storage ecosystem. That is where the storage part of their ecosystem comes in. If they can buffer the load with onsite batteries, they avoid upgrading the primary transmission line, which is usually the biggest bottleneck for electrification in remote areas.
