That is the real question. Heavy machinery electrification depends entirely on site power. I wonder how many of these machines are actually running on grid power versus diesel generators charging batteries. If it is the latter, the carbon gain is zero.

Exactly. In the field, the charging infrastructure is usually the bottleneck. Unless they are deploying massive mobile storage units, the adoption rate for full electric heavy gear will stay slow.

The ISO 14001 certifications for 54.5 percent of subsidiaries are standard corporate reporting. I am more interested in how they are accounting for the embedded carbon in the batteries for these electric excavators and cranes.
