Sangster International Airport reaches Level 3 carbon accreditation by engaging airlines and tenants
caribbeannationalweekly.comSangster International Airport in Jamaica has moved up to Level 3 of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program run by Airports Council International. The upgrade means the airport is now required to coordinate carbon reduction efforts with airlines, ground handlers, and other tenants on site, not just manage its own emissions. MBJ Airports Limited, the operator, said the accreditation reflects years of work embedding environmental responsibility into planning and operations. The airport also holds ISO 14001 certification for environmental management systems. This places Sangster as a regional leader in sustainable airport operations in the Caribbean.
