Samsung Electronics has introduced its EHS air-to-water heat pump boiler in South Korea, specifically designed to replace traditional gas boilers. The system is optimized for Korea's underfloor heating culture and can operate in temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius, offering a significant reduction in carbon emissions compared to fossil fuel alternatives. The rollout is supported by government subsidies covering up to 70 percent of installation costs, with a target of 3.5 million units by 2035. The system integrates with solar power and smart home apps to optimize energy consumption and storage.
