SAF at 0.8% of global jet fuel in 2026. That is basically nothing. The article mentions e-SAF as next gen but no commercial plants yet. Power-to-liquid needs cheap renewable hydrogen which we still do not have at scale. This is a feedstock and infrastructure problem more than a demand problem.

Exactly. SAF production pathways need green hydrogen. Green hydrogen needs dedicated renewable capacity that is not competing with grid demand. Right now we are barely building enough wind and solar to cover existing electricity loads. Adding aviation fuel production on top means we need to build even faster.
